The Campaign
HACSU is campaigning for Respect in Disability for Disability Support Workers employed by Community Service Organisations
Currently, those in the sector are paid up to 30% less than those doing equivalent work in the public sector.
This campaign focusses on three major areas of activity to win better fair employment standards for disability support workers:
- Forcing employers to pass on funding already received - Interim 1 year 3.35% wage increase
- Equal Pay Case
- Portable Long Service Leave Scheme
