HACSU Member Rallying for respect in disability

The Campaign

HACSU is campaigning for Respect in Disability for Disability Support Workers employed by Community Service Organisations

Currently, those in the sector are paid up to 30% less than those doing equivalent work in the public sector.

This campaign focusses on three major areas of activity to win better fair employment standards for disability support workers:

  • Forcing employers to pass on funding already received - Interim 1 year 3.35% wage increase
  • Equal Pay Case
  • Portable Long Service Leave Scheme
